Delta-192 Week 02 Summary

Congratulations on completing week 02, shipmates! Delta-192 learned we have choices in boot camp. This week’s decision was between pain or train. Clearly, we choose pain every day this week was brutal. Wake up, mess up, and sweat. Now this isn’t saying we aren’t getting better, but we certainly don’t seem to be in any hurry to improve. While plenty of our shipmates are stepping up to the challenge, some don’t seem to be trying. LTJG Parocha thought us that the Coast Guard prides itself on cultural diversity of its members, apparently, some cultures “required knowledge” is just a suggestion. Every meal was a race to see who could eat the second fastest and bolt out of the Galley while the Company Commanders were too distracted drilling another recruit for required knowledge. Unfortunately for us, were not as clever as we think and the Company Commanders were kind enough to help us learn. For such a small book, our Helmsman felt much heavier being held out in front of us, instead of gathering dust on the shelf back at home. Maybe we should’ve listened to our recruiter who said to study. Other than studying, we are learning to manage our time efficiently. Delta-192 failed to meet every time objective except for one this week. For anyone interested in boot camp, the shipmates of Delta-192 highly suggest you make an effort to meet time objectives, your muscles will thank you.
