Y-195 Week 02 Summary

Time fly’s by here a Cape May Training Center! The base here seems to be on its own time clock. Seconds are minutes, and minutes are turn into hours. Here at Cape May Training Center, Yankee company’s time is scheduled to the Mir second. Constantly on the go from wake up till TAPS. Already in 02 weeks we can see how much the company has changed as unit. We already are starting to work as a team. Starting to march somewhat in sync and together. But we still have a lot to work on, so we have training wheels on. The one thing we are all realizing is that time fly’s by here. The next forming company Zulu showed up Tuesday night and we’ve been seeing next future Coasties. We will be working with in the future.

Amongst all the madness and constant running around, we have been able to look at Zulu and realize, “wow that was us 02 weeks ago, and look at how much we’ve already done.” Here at Cape May, It’s a giant school, both educational wise and mentoring us for life. Here in week 02 we have already started taking key courses to teach us the fundamentals of being a Coastie, but more importantly molding us into becoming good followers in the mission of the United States Coast Guard. We have been working on Self-Discipline, you’ll become a reliable shipmate.

The big lesson for Yankee has been “eyes in the Boat.” With this it’s teaching us Military Bearing, staying focus on the mission or Task ahead of us. But it’s helping for when we are going to be on rescue missions. So for the end of 02 Yankee Company is glad it’s over. But we are ready to take on week 03, and get that much closer to the big day, GRADUATION! Still taking it one day at a time. Soon Yankee Company will survive boot camp, and be Coastgaurdsmen. Until next time, thank you for all the support.

Your future Coasties,

Yankee Company
