Tango 198 Recruit Journal Week 01

International Maritime Signal Flag Tango

Formed: May 19, 2020
Graduates:  July 10, 2020

Sweat dripping down our backs. The overwhelming noise of “Little Things Matter”. The stench of fear in the room. This is only 10 minutes inside of the life of Tango-198…and this is all before 0900 hours.

No one in the company has ever regretted having arms so much. 05 minutes over your heads feels like hours. If you don’t believe us, try it. Forming in company has definitely been an adjustment for most, if not all of us. We still have a ways to go, but slowly we are starting to grasp the ideas that the little things really do matter. We need to get louder, and we need to work as a team. If we can’t grasp that we will pay for that and more with sweat.

Curious what we’ve sweat for so far? Shoelaces not tucked in: sweat. Knuckles not on trouser seams: seat. Moving to slow: sweat. The sad part is, we all know when sweat time is coming. Usually, our company would be a lot bigger than it is. However, being that it is corona season out here, more eyes are on us. There is absolutely no getting away with anything. Ever.

All you can hope for is that you are a short person behind someone tall. , but that is still not a guarantee you’ll get away with anything. I was going to tell you more, but my company commander advised that I should wrap this up. So I’ll leave you with this… oh never mind. Fire, Fire, Fire. We have to go.
