Week 05 Summary

“Honor, Respect, Devotion to duty”. How mind blowing it is to see us all reach such a point in training to where we are trusted so much by ourselves. That’s not the part that scares us the most though. The most shocking part of it all is that we actually listen and accept the constant constructive criticism we give each other! In addition to that, we have traveled the entire regiment without constantly having to be escorted by our Company Commanders.

Professionally handling important business such as travel plans, signing orders, and communicating with our units officially gives us the proud feeling of being the most senior company on the regiment. The constant preparation taken to square everything around us away has brought multiple pennants such as, seamanship, Company Commander, and even the section commander pennant. That’s not all we are aiming to earn nor are we relaxing! As discussed in our debrief everything that takes place up until October 9th is a test. Will we maintain military bearing after spending 05 plus hours speaking to our loved ones while chugging Monsters? Did we squash all of our squad bay drama after horizontally jabbing each other in pugil stick today? Are we ready to transition to the fleet October 9th in these Coast Guard Covers? Will our number of 32 loses unexpectedly grow? We are about to find out! Training is not over!
