India 199 Recruit Journal Week 03

International Maritime Signal Flag

Formed: September 22, 2020
Graduates:  November 13, 2020

This week was a tough one for India Company. Right after Indoctrination weekend, we shifted into full gear. We started the week off strong visiting the gym, which we found out we get to visit a few times a week.  Later, our company took photos for our military I.D’s. We hit another milestone in training this week as we began standing watches on the regiment. We have had a lot of classes this week, and also had the chance to fill out our assignments worksheets. Soon we will find out where we will be stationed at. India Company also received our pieces this week, which we soon found out are mostly used as a tool for correction. Eventually we will learn other things with it like manual of arms. We finished off our week by meeting with our company mentors. The mentors are Admiral Jones and Master Chief Zimmer, from Coast Guard 7th district. We had the opportunity to ask questions and gain their perspectives on todays Coast Guard. India Company is becoming accustomed to a military lifestyle and is learning to function as a team. We are also learning that if one fails we all fail. We will enter the next week of training faster and louder.
